Savannah Blogger, Being Mrs. Fowler, shares her favorite food, Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Disney Blogger, Foodie

A new year is upon us and you know what that means? More trips to Disney! Especially now that I am an annual passholder!

We already have had our first Disney vacation of the year and I could not be more excited more for the next one. Disney is my happy place. Amidst all of the stress and chaos I can’t help but feel sheer happiness whenever I am visiting the home of my favorite mouse. Throughout the course of this year, I plan to write a few blog posts on all of my tips, tricks, must-dos, and favorites, but I knew that I needed to start with all of my favorite Mickey treats!

Seriously, who doesn’t love a good Mickey shaped snack? While all of these treats are not Mickey shaped, they are all the perfect amount of goodness for a sweet or salty pick-me-up while in the parks. If you buy the dining package, most of these options can be  purchased for a snack credit. Some of the options can be found at all of the parks while others are specific to a certain park. Just make sure to scoop up the specific snacks before you leave a park so you don’t miss out on the treat!

Chocolate Covered Rise Krispy Treats

This yummy treat is a the perfect way to take care of your sweet tooth. It can be found at all of the parks, as well as the candy stores located in Disney Springs. They come with a variety of toppings but our personal favorite is covered in chocolate and then drizzled with white chocolate. These are also a great way to take care of those unused snack credits. They keep well in the refrigerator for a few days so you can enjoy a little piece of Disney after you return home.

The Night Blossom

This fruity treat is only available at Pandora within Animal Kingdom but it is probably my favorite treat out of all the parks. It has layers of purple and green slush, with flavors of apple limeade and desert pear. It is then topped with passion fruit Boba balls. While the drink pictured is non-alcoholic, you can add alcohol for an additional cost.

Starbucks

Savannah Blogger, Being Mrs. Fowler, shares her favorite food, Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Disney Blogger, Foodie (33)

There is a Starbucks located in every park at Disney World and it is the perfect park pick-me-up. I don’t know about you, but when we do Disney, we wake up super early and stay till closing. We make use of every minute that we are allowed to spend in the park so caffeine is absolutely necessary. It is nice to be able to get my favorite coffee drink in the park and helps to make Disney feel even more like home.

Mickey Pretzel

Savannah Blogger, Being Mrs. Fowler, shares her favorite food, Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Disney Blogger, Foodie (28)

This salty true is a true classic. It can be found at every park at Walt Disney World. You can add a cheese sauce to dip your pretzel or just enjoy it plain. They are located at little carts all over the parks and are the perfect treat for one of your snack credits.

Dole Whip

Savannah Blogger, Being Mrs. Fowler, shares her favorite food, Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Disney Blogger, Foodie (27)

If you have not tried a Dole Whip, you are seriously missing out. Dole Whip is pineapple soft serve that can be found within Magic Kingdom. If you are visiting The Polynesian, you can also grab this treat from the resort. While it comes in a few flavors, my favorite way to enjoy it is as a float. I get the classic pineapple soft serve with pineapple juice. While it looks like it would be enough to share, trust me when I say that you will want one all to yourself. On those hot summer days in the park, this is the perfect way to cool off.

Strawberry Lemonade

Savannah Blogger, Being Mrs. Fowler, shares her favorite food, Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Disney Blogger, Foodie (25)

While flavored lemonades can be found at each one of the Disney parks, one of my personal favorites is the Strawberry Lemonade at the Starlight Cafe in Magic Kingdom. It is not a classic beverage, but rather a slush that is just the right about of sweetness. It is great for cooling down on hot, summer days and seems to quinch my thirst way better than a soda. I also absolutely love the Mint Julep Lemonade at Casey’s Corner in Magic Kingdom. It is seriously so good and probably my new favorite.

Mickey Cake Pops

Savannah Blogger, Being Mrs. Fowler, shares her favorite food, Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Disney Blogger, Foodie (21)

These little cuties are a favorite of my daughter’s. They come with a variety of cake centers but we really enjoy those that are filled with red velvet. While Vivi likes the smaller, classic cake pop shape, I love the ones that are shaped like a Mickey head. The ears of those pops are actually marshmallow and are a nice treat when biting one off. Cake pops can be found at all the parks inside of the candy stores and some souvenir shops.

Cheshire Tail

Savannah Blogger, Being Mrs. Fowler, shares her favorite food, Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Disney Blogger, Foodie (20)

Chesire Tails are a new addition to the Magic Kingdom park but they are seriously amazing. Picture a chocolate croissant drizzled with sweet icing and that is your Cheshire Tail. Conveniently located right next to the Mad Hatter’s Tea Cup ride, this treat is the perfect quick breakfast snack or the perfect treat for taking care of that sweet tooth.

Ghirardelli  Hot Fudge Sundae

Savannah Blogger, Being Mrs. Fowler, shares her favorite food, Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Disney Blogger, Foodie (15)

If you are spending the day at Disney Springs, or even just paying a quick visit, I strongly encourage you to stop by the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and treat yourself to a Hot Fudge Sundae. The hot fudge is homemade in house and their waffle cones are made fresh daily. The smell radiating from the Soda Fountain is delectable and it is enough to draw you in and leave you wanting more. I love enjoying an ice cream sundae on those hot, summer days but it is a great treat all year long. They also have great hot chocolate if it happens to be cold when you are visiting!

Mickey Ice Cream Bar

Savannah Blogger, Being Mrs. Fowler, shares her favorite food, Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Disney Blogger, Foodie (14)

I can’t have a list of my favorite Mickey treats without mentioning the Mickey Ice Cream Bar. This treat is a true classic and should be enjoyed on every visit to the park. I usually share mine with Vivi and you can tell that she enjoys it by the amount of chocolate all over her face. The ice cream bars are located at kiosks all over every park and it is a great way to use up a snack credit!

While I have tried many different snacks, these are just the ones that I am always wanting to eat again. What are some of your favorite treats at Disney? Let me know in the comments below! We are always looking to try new treats and I would love to hear from you!

Mom Bossin’ with Baggallini

My life has been incredibly busy these last few months. From work, to events, to vacation, and holidays, we have been going non-stop!

While my life may be sheer chaos, one thing has remained a constant: my handbag!

I was recently gifted the Metro Backpack from Baggallini. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical at first. I am not much of a backpack girl but I really wanted something that could carry both mine and Vivi’s things, while still looking chic. Over the summer I potty trained Vivi so there was no need for a big, bulky bag. I found myself shoving a pull-up, extra pants, and snacks into my already full handbag. Something had to change.

Upon receiving the bag, I switched everything over from my own handbag, downsizing a few items, added Vivi’s things, and I was set. I made a vow to carry the bag for the entire month of October so I could form an honest opinion. I would change my bag for date or girl’s nights, but then it was right back to my Metro Backpack.

Since I was carrying this bag for the entire month of October, I packed it up to take it with me on my recent Disney trip. This was, by far, where the bag was most useful. With all of the compartments, pockets and zippers, I had everything I needed, remained organized, and stayed looking chic. I got so many compliments on this bag while in the park. I think people expect backpacks to be bulky or kid-oriented so the fact that this bag possessed both style and function was definitely something worth noticing. With the adjustable straps, hooks and zippers, I was able to carry it as a crossbody, a one-shoulder pack, a backpack, AND a handbag. Talk about a versatile bag! Even my husband didn’t mind holding it for me!

Here are all the amazing details that this backpack features:

  • Lightweight, water-resistant nylon
  • Removable RFID phone wristlet included
  • Interior organization and multifunctional pockets
  • Quick access phone pocket
  • RFID protection
  • Adjustable strap & key Loop
  • Wristlet interior has 3 card slots

Curious about RFID technology? I was too! RFID-blocking wallets are designed to help insulate you from a very particular brand of electronic pickpocketing, called RFID skimming. RFID stands for Radio Frequency IDentification, a technology that uses tiny computer chips smaller than a grain of sand to track items at a distance. Essentially this means that as long as your cards are inside the RFID protection pouch, your card information cannot be stolen using this technology. That is pretty nifty if you ask me!

All of the pockets and pouches kept me very organized while in the park. I was able to quickly find everything that I needed, which is crucial when you have a very busy three year old in when of the busiest places in the United States. I used the outside zipper to quickly access my phone, the mini zipper pouch to keep my money and cards both safe and accessible, and the back zipper to house our room keys and park tickets. It truly helped me to keep my sanity while in the park and helped me to stay very organized. I cannot recommend this bag enough, especially if you are the Mom of young children.

So just what all was I able to fit in this backpack, besides random receipts of course? More than you would think, that is for sure!

I had: a change of clothes and pull-ups for Vivi, wipes, a few toys, sunglasses, snacks, iPad with charger, pouch with essential female items, chap-stick, hair ties, handsanitizer, cellphone, and, in the little pouch, my card wallet and change purse. I was honestly surprised at home! We are heading back to Disney in December and the first thing that I will be packing is my Metro Backpack. It was seriously a very chic lifesaver!
